A Nations value can be found on the roads. Because a person's real character reflects his driving style. When a collection of people’s qualities are common while driving then it becomes societies norms. When the societies norms are very well accepted in a country, it becomes Nation’s Value.

Imagine a foreign traveller who didn’t know about India sees our road for the first time.

What Character of Nation can be seen on Roads?

4. Irresponsibility: Parking irresponsibly on the roads and causing traffic due to their irresponsibility and Jaywalking on the roads and people without license driving vehicles.
5. Not Obeying to Rules: Jumping signals and drunk & drive and corruption is common on the roads of India.
6. Bullying: Women and people who obey traffic rules are regularly bullied on roads.

How does it affect?

1. Indian roads are the loudest due to their heavy usage of the horn. This causes Noise pollution and it affects the mental health of passengers.
2. 151 thousand fatalities are reported on the road only in 2019. In 2020, it has been reduced due to the Covid imposed lockdowns.
3. Heavy traffic because of not adhering to the rules. According to Tom Tom Traffic index 2019, Mumbai people spend 8 days and 17 hours on road per year.
4. India accounts for 11% of Global death due to road accidents. This can be reduced if seat belts and helmets are properly worn.

Roads are emblem of development and economic activity. Road journey must give great experience while driving and after some years. If the current situation persist then Indian can never dream for a Tesla self driving car. Never make roads dreadful to drive. Nations value also rest in it.
